The Busker is a product of Royal Oak Distillery in Co. Carlow, located in Ireland's Ancient East between Dublin and Waterford. (Photo courtesy of Royal Oak Distillery.)
In addition to the single malt, The Busker family of whiskeys also includes a single pot still, a single grain, and a triple cask blend.

You'll find Royal Oak Distillery on the grounds of the historic Royal Oak Estate in County Carlow, which also features the beautiful 18th-century era Holloden House.
Royal Oak was initially a partnership with Walsh Whiskey--producers of The Irishman and Writer's Tears--but that relationship ended a couple of years back. The parent company of Italian spirits maker Disaronno is now a major investor.
Royal Oak produces single malt, single pot still, and single grain whiskeys all in the same distilling room.
The Busker Single Malt has a fruity disposition that is pleasant from the first sip. This is a very approachable single malt...it isn't fancy or exclusive but is quite drinkable. Matured and finished in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, we detect notes of honey and Granny Smith apple, and perhaps a little chocolate. You can find it in select brick & mortar as well as online retailers.
ABV: 44.3%
Retail price: $25-30
The Busker Single Malt: 90 POINTS
(We personally prefer the name Royal Oak, although perhaps there's a reason they can't use it and have decided to use The Busker for the brand instead.)
