Dunville's is one of four whiskey brands produced by the Echlinville Distillery near Belfast (the others are Old Comber, Matt D'Arcy and Feckin), which in 2013 became the first new distillery to open in Northern Ireland in 125 years. As a farm distillery, the barley for the whiskey is grown on-site.
Three Crowns is a blend of three whiskeys, and there's plenty of floral and citrus notes here, making it easy to drink. We pick up some peppery nuttiness as well that gives it just a bit of an edge. The sherry cask finishing is a welcome touch and adds some vanilla to the flavor mix.
